Connect with established marketing agencies, certified marketers, and other industry professional, discover employment opportunities (make sure to bring a few copies of your resume just in case!)) and learn about the realities of your field.
The theme of this year's MKT-ing is Leadership Through The Years. Three exciting key note speakers will be discussing their personal experiences and tips in regards to this theme throughout the night: Fahad Khan from Canada Prime Marketing, Emily Salsbury from School of Retailing, and Bryan Smith from Bluetrain Inc.

The UAMA is super excited to announce our first Mini-Case Competition on Thursday, October 26th from 5-9pm in the MBA Lounge. This will be a 1-hour case based on Moonshine Doughnuts for your chance to glaze & sprinkle the Moonshine Executive team with your recommendations!
First Place- $200 + 4 boxes of Moonshine Doughnuts
Second Place- $100+ 4 boxes of Moonshine Doughnuts
Third Place- 4 boxes of Moonshine Doughnuts
There are spots for 10 teams with 4 individuals per team. The team registration is $40. Dinner, drinks, and snacks will be provided for the evening.

The UAMA's Graffiti Night is back! Haven't heard about Graffiti Night yet? Not a problem! For this colourful party, you will recieve a blank, white t-shirt that will act as a canvas for everyone to use that night. Prepare yourself to be drawn on, recieve some autographs and hilarious messages, and perhaps get a couple phone numbers. The night is yours, so channel your inner graffiti artist!
This year, Graffiti Night will take place at Beercade. Be on the lookout for the UAMA's executive team in pink, word on the street is that they may have some golden game tokens!

The UAMA's much anticipated case competition is finally here! It's time to put your marketing 301 skills to good use! The UAMA, in partnership with PepsiCo Foods has been working tirelessly to present to you our annual case competition, with support provided by IBM.
The event will kickoff on Friday March 24 with our Case Title Meet and Greet event at Malt and Mortar (time TBA). Appetizers and networking opportunities will be plentiful!
On Saturday March 25, registration will begin at the Alberta School of Business at 8:30am. Teams of 3 will have 5 hours to prepare their case presentation, and will then present their solution to a panel of judges.
The participation fee is $25/person!
First place team: $1200
Second place team: $600
Third place team: $300
Sign up will take place starting Monday March 20th in front of the BSA office from 11-2pm. There will be room for 5 external teams and 11 University of Alberta teams. External teams can secure their spots by contacting Mathilda Lambert at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Do you have a hidden talent for pitching wacky ideas in a confined space? Do you love beer, networking and arcade games? Itching for an opportunity to showcase your creative ideas? Well look no further! Join the University of Alberta Marketing Association for our second annual Pitches for Pitchers. What is PFP you might ask? Read closely below... this might get a bit confusing!
How it works:
1) Choose a partner!
2) Upon purchasing a ticket, you and your partner will sign up for a 30 minute block between 6-8pm.
3) On March 3, half an hour before your presentation time, you will be given a case document (therefore, your overall time commitment is 1 hour)
4) When it's your turn, you and your partner will begin on the ground floor in the Tory elevators. You will have approximately 2 minutes (the length of the elevator ride) to pitch your idea for a superbowl ad for our chosen comedic company concept.
5) Be prepared to have random arts/business students enter the elevator as you are pitching. That's half the fun!
6) Once you arrive at the top floor, you and your partner will be free until 9pm at the after party at Beercade!
1st place: $100 bar tab
2nd place: $50 bar tab
3rd place: $25 bar tab
Most creative & comedic pitch: bragging rights, a trophy and some drinks from the UAMA!
All in all, your $5 will provide you with a ton of FUN, a chance at $175 worth of bar tabs, a guaranteed pre paid drink at beercade, no cover and some networking opportunities! What's not to love?

The University of Alberta will be hosting our Navigating Your Future Marketing Conference on October 15th. The aim of the conference is to introduce business students to the different possibilities within the marketing field.

To dive more into what navigating your future means to you, we’re also bringing in entrepreneurs to speak more specifically about their marketing successes.

We are so excited to announce that we'll be working with Edmonton Transit System for our 2016 Case Competition. $1000, $500, and $300 prizes are available for the top 3 teams, respectively.

Pitches For Pitchers + UAMA Ad Night - To us, the best thing about the Superbowl is the outrageously creative ads that come with it.
Where and When: Join us at on Feb. 5th at 5:00 pm at the Tory elevators and pitch your most creative Superbowl ad on the way to the top. Tickets are 5 dollars per person, which includes cover and one prepaid drink at the UAMA's Ad Night afterparty at The Rack.
Teams: Compete individually or with one other team member.
Prizes: $175 (bar tabs) in pitch prizes are available for those who champion their pitch.
Winners will be announced at Ad Night shortly after it starts at 10:00 pm.

Snap. A UAMA Case Competition. Oh Snap! It's a first for the UAMA. Ten teams of four will compete for a $1000 contract with Snapfile. Cash prizes will be awarded to second and third placed teams. This event will be catered by Press'd.
