Being a director is an incredible stepping stone to greater things in the business faculty. It's a great way to learn about yourself and meet people. It will push you to be better and to grow as an individual. The following are the portfolios that the UAMA will be accepting applications. There is an opportunity for everyone!
Academic Director: The Academic Director will assist the VP of their portfolio in supporting the events hosted by the UAMA, and will mostly support the team in communicating important recruitment information to students. Their biggest role lies in assisting the Academic VP with the organization and development of the UAMA's annual Marketing Case Competition in February 2016 - which is a student favourite every year!
Design Director: Our Design Director will be part of the team that brings the UAMA's creative vision to life. They will assist in developing promotional materials, website content, event photography, and any additional design content that is required by the team. This candidate will need to be creative, innovative, and able to bring big ideas to the table. Some web design & photography experience is an asset - if you have a portfolio to show off, we'd love to see it!
External Director: This position will work throughout the year securing sponsorship for the UAMA'a various events alongside the VP of their portfolio. The External Director will need to be confident in approaching current and new sponsors and discussing opportunities for the UAMA to connect with businesses outside of the ASOB. This portfolio also hosts an annual semi-formal networking session for students in March.
Internal Director: Our Internal Director will be part of the team that offers students within the School of Business with opportunities to connect with each other, on and off campus. They will work with the VP to bring to speaker sessions to students on a variety of marketing topics, as well as hosting additional social events throughout the year (like Graffiti Night!). They will also help the Internal VP with the implementation of a brand new event this year - Pitches for Pitchers.
