Being a director is an incredible stepping stone to greater things in the business faculty. It's a great way to learn about yourself and meet people. It will push you to be better and to grow as an individual. The following are the portfolios that the UAMA will be accepting applications. There is an opportunity for everyone! Please do not hesitate to ask us any questions through our Facebook page.
Academic Director: The Academic Director will assist the Academic VP with the UAMA Mini Case Competition taking place at the end of October as well as help with the organization and development of the UAMA's annual Marketing Case Competition in February 2017 - which is a student favourite every year! Responsibilities will include: reaching out to potential case sponsors, brainstorming creative ideas/activities for the competitions, editing the case document, and organizing/scheduling events. Applicants must have strong writing skills, be organized, and bold!
External Director: This position will work throughout the year securing sponsorship for the UAMA's various events alongside the VP of their portfolio. The External Director will need to be confident in approaching current and new sponsors - through various mediums - and discussing opportunities for the UAMA to connect with businesses outside of the ASOB. This portfolio also hosts an annual semi-formal networking session for students in January: MKT-ing. This position requires someone who can communicate eloquently, prioritize, and has great organizational skills.
Internal Director: Our Internal Director will be part of the team that offers students within the School of Business with opportunities to connect with each other, on and off campus. They will work with the VP to host additional social events throughout the year (like Graffiti Night!) and help ensure the success of the 3rd annual "Pitches for Pitchers" event. The Internal portfolio is also responsible for choosing & ordering team SWAG (having connections for that would be an asset!). The Internal portfolio is looking for a candidate who is fun & outgoing, committed, and creative.
